How to (bypass) remove FRP lock after hard reset in Android Lollipop? Are you stuck on Google account verification lock screen in samsung devices after performing a hard reset? This is called Format Protection Lock, you get stuck in this verification screen displaying “This device was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device” after you reset your device from recovery when you forget your pattern / PIN lock code. This FRP lock is new security feature in Android Lollipop OS 5.1.1 or above, when you use google account to access mail, play store and other Google apps your account is remembered on your device. So, to bypass this lock you will need to reset phone from settings using specific APK package, pendrive and OTG cable. Please do remember that this will not work for samsung cloud account verification.
Guide to Remove FRP lock in Samsung Device running Lollipop OS 5.1.1 or above
Follow these steps:
- Download APK package from HERE (rar file).
- Extract this file and send APK to a pendrive.
- Now plug in the OTG cable into phone with pendrive attached.
- File Manager will appear
- Explore your pendrive and install the APK package.
- Tap Open after installing is done.
- You will directly get access to settings.
- Navigate to backup & reset
- Reset your device
After reboot your phone will not ask for account verification, and FRP lock will be romved.
This guide is working on Samsung devices running OS 5.1.1 and higher. As i told you before this will NOT help you get bypass the Samsung cloud account verification, as it is associated with Samsung servers. - Downgrade Samsung phone to kitkat 4.4.4 or lower if supported
